Youth Development North takes on Action Matakana
Youth Development North (YDU North) brought 39 young students from School Service Academies in the greater Auckland Region to experience Action Matakana challenges.
The students are on a week long Junior Leaders Course and spent a day with us undertaking various Team Based Activities. The emphasis for the day was on:
- Establishing aims
- Formulating plans
- Issue of orders
- Overseeing and coordinating tasks.
The group did really well, and in particular excelled on the Obstacle Course.
YDU North is a Tri Service Defence Unit based at Whenuapai Air Base, funded by MSD.
